Highlights
- Receive help any time of day or night. Because your family's illness
and medical emergencies do not always occur during business
hours; Nurse Hotline is staffed by registered nurses ready to
answer your calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
- Access detailed information on a range of concerns including
interpretation of a diagnosis, appropriate treatment for minor
emergencies or illnesses, or suggestions for using area support
groups.
Benefit Details
- To access Nurse Hotline simply contact the ABP "Toll-Free"
number 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When you call Nurse
Hotline, the nurse will ask for some basic information including
your name, age, phone number, and a description of your ailment
or symptoms.
- The nurse will assess your situation and provide
information to help you decide how to solve or treat your health
problem.
VERY IMPORTANT: In life-threatening emergencies, call 911 or go
directly to the nearest hospital emergency room (ER) for treatment. If
911 is not available in your area, call the local police or fire
department, or go directly to the nearest hospital or emergency room
(ER).
